SWOT ANALYSIS OF RURAL MARKETING IN INDIA STRENGTHS 1. The level of competition in the urban markets has intensified and is increasing tremendously. It is also stated by many experts that the urban markets are almost saturated. Therefore, penetration into rural markets is inevitable for sustained business growth. 2. Because of the overwhelming response from rural India, now not only Indian players, but several foreign brands such as LG Electronics and Coca-Cola have also been attracted towards the rural markets. 3. The rural markets generally prefer simple and easy to use products. The packaging has to be convenient and cost-effective.
